At Sundara, we believe something as simple as soap can spark a revolution. Soap protects health, restores dignity and, when placed in the hands of women, becomes a tool for lasting change.
We are proud to partner with RISE Fellow Junior Bakasa and her organisation, Leaf & Green, to distribute 12,000 bars of soap to underserved communities in Zimbabwe.

Junior is passionate about supporting other women: elderly women, widows and young mothers. She knows that when women are empowered, they uplift everyone around them. Women care for children, families and neighbours. When they have access to resources like soap, entire communities benefit.
This initiative comes at a crucial time. Zimbabwe has faced a resurgence of cholera since late 2024, showing how fragile health systems can be when safe water, hygiene and sanitation are out of reach. Soap may be small, but in communities at risk it is nothing short of life-saving.
Together with Junior, we are proving that investing in women has a ripple effect. Soap is not just about hygiene. It is protection, empowerment and hope.
Soap is simple. But in the hands of women, it is revolutionary.

We are deeply grateful to Soapbox for making this work possible. Their generosity ensures that thousands of families have access to the basic protection of soap, and it allows leaders like Junior to carry forward their vision for healthier, stronger and more resilient communities.
