APPLICATION CRITERIA

RISE FELLOWSHIP

SEEKING SUSTAINABLE PARTNERS WITH TRANSFORMATIVE IDEAS 

you are

  • A female entrepreneur living in low to middle income country

  • A female-led nonprofit with an annual budget under $50,000 USD

  • Legally able to accept funds from the USA - please check here to see if your country qualifies

you have

  • An idea for an initiative that will improve the local water, sanitation and hygiene of your own community

  • An income-generating aspect to your innovation (required)

you can 

  • Develop a business plan and a budget timeline

  • Submit an itemized budget detailing how you plan to allocate funds received

  • Create a sustainability plan to ensure long-term success of your income-generating business

SELECTION PROCESS

As an entrepreneur, your hands are full - really full. That’s why we created a funding application that’s simple and allows you to devote time where it’s truly needed - on the ground, in your community, and behind the drawing board working to perfect your ideas.

Become a fellow

 Submit your initial funding proposal by clicking the button below. Only applicants who are in consideration for funding will be contacted.

If you make it through to the second round of the application process, submit a business plan and budget timeline. Our team will provide guidance and templates for you to follow.

During the third and final stage, you will have the chance to pitch your project to our Board of Directors over a video conference.

You will be officially invited to become a part of RISE's Fellowship!

EMERGENCY AID

SUPPORTING WOMEN RESPONDING TO CRISES

you are

  • A woman living in a low to middle-income country or serving underserved communities in high-income countries

  • A female-led nonprofit with an annual budget under $40,000 USD

  • Legally able to accept funds from the USA - please check here to see if your country qualifies

your work

 

  • Responds to an emergency in your community that requires immediate assistance to improve the water, sanitation or hygiene circumstances

  • Empowers women 

  • Does not have an income-generating aspect or a long-term business plan, as you are seeking short-term aid for a problem that requires immediate attention
