Say hello to our newest program in Yangon, Myanmar
New and Improved!
We've partnered with the folks at Sule Shangri La in Yangon to recycle their soap in our mission to bring soap recycling to Myanmar.
Together with Robert Guerrero from Sealed Air and our team of Thuya and Htar, plus a few local volunteers from the local hospitality sector, we were able to process months worth of bar soap waste from the hotel.
Our founder is this week's #ONEderWoman
Mumbai monsoons are no match for our soap recycling center! This week we finished a series of renovations on our workshop, lead by our most recent volunteer, Peter, a design and marketing professional who traveled from Florida to work with us for the past month.
"I haven't used soap for 2 weeks"...Updates from Uganda
In just two years, #ONEderWoman Erin Zaikis has impacted over 6,000 lives in India, Uganda, and Myanmar through her organization, the Sundara Fund, which provides soap and hygiene education to communities that need it the most by recycling gently-used bars of soap from local hotels and transforming them into clean, ready-to-use bars.
The 12 Year Old Who Proves Anyone can Make a Difference
Through our partnership with YICE, Sundara ran a hygiene and sanitation program for 40 community members in Mubende district, Uganda. Topics discussed included:
A Partnership with The Good People Fund
Many people think they're too young to make a difference. Here to prove those folks wrong is Emma Grover, a 12 year old from Montreal who donated her Bat Mitzvah to Sundara.
New partnership with the Sule Shangri-La in Yangon, Myanmar
We are thrilled to announce that The Good People Fund will be funding our expansion efforts at our workshop in Mumbai this year - letting us double our soap output and multiply our hygiene impact to fit the immense need.
Sundara Mulshi Springs Partner
Sundara is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Sule Shangri-La in Yangon, Myanmar.
Together we are proud to bring soap recycling to Myanmar for the first time ever, with our soap recycling workshop in Yangon. A special thank you to Diversey/Sealed Air and their Soap 4 Hope program for making this partnership possible.
Sundara is happy to announce that we are partnering with Mulshi Springs – a Mumbai-based water company. Mulshi Springs is donating logistics and transport services to collect soap from our hospitality partners. A special thanks to their CEO, Naveen Luthra who has been an ardent supporter of our cause.
