Say hello to our newest program in Yangon, Myanmar

We've partnered with the folks at Sule Shangri La in Yangon to recycle their soap in our mission to bring soap recycling to Myanmar.

Together with Robert Guerrero from Sealed Air and our team of Thuya and Htar, plus a few local volunteers from the local hospitality sector, we were able to process months worth of bar soap waste from the hotel.

We added local fruits and flowers (pineapple, coffee, mint, lemongrass, kaffir lime) to the soaps to make the scent and look pleasing.

We will be delivering the soap we made to the town of Bago next weekend to approximately 170 underprivileged children and their families along with some simple hand washing and hygiene trainings. Many of these children are from rice farming families who suffer from preventable hygiene related diseases, so it is our hope that in working in this community we can improve the health of children and adults alike.

If you're ever in Yangon and would like to visit our workshop, please send us a note at thesundarafund@gmail.com.
